The Trouble With Good Advice

[audio:|titles=The Trouble with Good Advice|artists=Winebox]

Made a few mistakes, I’m sad to say
But I picked up a little wisdom ‘long the way
Most was long forgotten
but here’s what I recall

They say the trouble with good advice
is the size of the writing on the stall

No one would believe the webs we weave
Bought a drink for a lady I didn’t know from Eve
Found her in my closet
they found her husband in the lake

They say the trouble with good advice
is the bartender’s always on the take

Confucius say “the cookie’s stale”
(and stay away from the crab rangoon while you’re at it)
Ann Landers never reads her own mail

Look deep into your Magic Eight Ball, tell me what you see
The secret to happiness and all the answers?
Or just a fool looking back at me?

The trouble with good advice
is the price to gotta pay to learn the hard way

The priest will trade forgiveness for guilt
for yours is the house that Lazy built

That’s the trouble with good advice
The trouble with good advice
I’m in trouble

Answer to the voices in your head
If you can’t be kind, be vague
A closed mouth gathers no foot
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you’ll have to catch up
If at first you don’t succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried
Don’t sweat petty things, and don’t pet sweaty things
The way to a woman’s heart. . .  is right through her rib cage
Sacred cows make the best burgers
Procrastination takes a long time
